It's a rarely known fact that Yugi Moto died in a tragic accident shortly after the events of Yugioh GX. However, alert medical personnel were able to cryogenically freeze his brain, for as the greatest duelist the world had ever seen, keeping this repository intact was seen as a matter of great importance.

Several years later, after the events of Yugioh 5Ds, Yusei Fudo, aided by his experience with the Z-one, lead a team of scientists to construct an artifical human-like being capable of containing a human consciousness. Naturally, given the importance of card games in their society, the first individual to be regiven a chance at life was none other than Yugi Moto.

As one would expect, he got to playing card games right away. I mean, what else did he know how to do? However, he realized quickly that his Deck wasn't quite up to par with the futuristic cards of the time, as we was only winning 50% of his games. He specifically petitioned Kaiba Corporation to reprint some of his cards to give them a power boost.

The result was the Duelist Pack Yugi Evolved. Full spoiler list below:

DPYE-000 Slifer the Sky Dragon (Only "fake" card here, promise. How would Yugi feel, though, if there weren't a legal one to use?)
DIVINE/Level 10/Divine Beast/Effect/ATK ?/DEF ?
You must Tribute 3 monsters to Normal Summon this card (you cannot Set this card). The Normal Summon of this card cannot be negated. When this card is Normal Summoned, Spells, Traps, and Effect Monster effects cannot be activated. This card cannot be targeted by the effects of Spells, Traps, or Effect Monsters. If this card is Special Summoned, it is sent to the Graveyard during the End Phase. The original ATK and DEF of this card becomes the number of cards in your hand x 1000. Once per turn, when your opponent successfully Summons a monster in Attack Position with less than 2000 ATK, destroy it.

DPYE-001 Mystical Elf
LIGHT/Level 4/Spellcaster/ATK 800/DEF 2200
A delicate elf that lacks offense, but has a terrific defense backed by mystical power.

DPYE-002 Beaver Warrior
EARTH/Level 4/Beast-Warrior/Effect/ATK 1200/DEF 1500
You can Tribute this card to negate the activation of a Spell Card, Trap Card, or Effect Monster's effect that destroys a Beast-Warrior or Warrior-Type monster on the field, and destroy that card. If you negate an effect this way, you can remove from play 1 Beast-Warrior or Warrior-Type monster in your Graveyard during your End Phase to Special Summon this card from your Graveyard.

DPYE-003 Catapult Turtle
WATER/Level 5/Aqua/Effect/ATK 1000/DEF 2000
Up to twice per turn, you can Tribute 1 monster you control, except this card. Activate 1 of the following effects: -Inflict damage to your opponent equal to half the Tributed monster's ATK. -Destroy 1 face-up card your opponent controls, except an Attack Position monster.

Each time this card destroys a monster by battle, inflict 600 damage to your opponent. Also, each time a Spell or Trap Card is activated, increase the ATK of this card by 300 until the End Phase.

DPYE-005 Gandora the Dragon of Destruction

When this card is Normal Summoned, you can pay half of your Life Points to destroy all cards on the field except this card. For every card that is destroyed by this effect, this card gains 300 ATK, until the End Phase.

When this card is destroyed by your opponent's card (either by battle or by card effect), you can select 1 DARK Dragon-Type Monster in your Graveyard, except "Koumori Dragon", and add it to your hand.

This card gains 600 ATK for each other face-up "Phantom Beast" card you control. Once per turn, during either player's turn, you can remove from play 1 "Phantom Beast" card in your Graveyard to remove from play this face-up card until the End Phase.

While you control another DARK monster, this card cannot be selected as an attack target. When this card is selected as the target of a card effect, you can remove this card from play until the End Phase.

While you control another DARK monster, this card cannot be selected as an attack target. If this card attacks an opponent's monster, it gains 600 ATK during the Damage Step only.

DPYE-016 Kuriboh
DARK/Level 1/Fiend/Effect/ATK 300/DEF 200
During your opponent's Battle Phase, you can discard this card to reduce the Battle Damage inflicted to your Life Points from 1 of your opponent's monster's attacks to 0. Additionally, for the rest of the current duel, reduce the battle damage to your Life Points by monsters with that card's name to 0.

Additionally, if this card was Summoned by the effect of “Silent Magician LV4”, once, when your opponent activates a Spell/Trap Card, you can negate its activation and destroy it.

DPYE-029 The Tricky

You can Special Summon this card from your hand by discarding 1 card from your hand. If the card you discarded was a Spellcaster-Type Monster, when this card is destroyed and sent to the Graveyard, you can add that card from your Graveyard to your hand.

If this card is the only card in your hand, you can Special Summon this card in Attack Position.

DPYE-031 Gaia Knight, the Fierce

If this card is the only card in your hand, you can Normal Summon this card without Tribute. During your Main Phase, you can remove from play this card in your Graveyard and select 1 “Gaia Knight” or “Gaia Drake” monster you control. It cannot be targeted by the effects of Spell or Trap Cards while it is face-up on the field.

DPYE-032 Big Shield Gardna

Negate the activation of a Spell or Trap Card that designates this 1 face-down monster. At that time, flip this card into face-up Defense Position. If this card attacks or is attacked, switch it's original ATK and DEF at the end of the Damage Step, until the End Phase.

DPYE-033 Buster Blader

When this card is Summoned, you can select 1 monster in your opponent's Extra Deck and send it to the Graveyard. This card gains 500 ATK for each Dragon-Type Monster your opponent has on the field or in their Graveyard.

DPYE-034 Obnoxious Celtic Guard
EARTH/Level 4/Warrior/Effect/ATK 1400/DEF 1200
This card cannot be destroyed by battle by a monster with 1900 or more ATK. Once per turn, when this card destroys a monster by battle, you can halve its ATK until the End Phase to allow it to immediately attack again.

DPYE-035 Black Luster Soldier - Envoy of the Beginning
LIGHT/Level 8/Warrior/Effect/ATK 3000/DEF 2500
This card cannot be Normal Summoned or Set. This card cannot be Special Summoned, except by removing 2 LIGHT and 2 DARK monsters in your Graveyard from play. This card's name is treated as “Black Luster Soldier” while it is in the Graveyard. Once per turn, if this card is the only monster you control, you can activate 1 of the following effects: -Remove 1 monster on the field from play. You cannot conduct your Battle Phase the turn you activate this effect. -If this card destroyed your opponent's monster by battle, it can attack once again in a row.

DPYE-036 Jack's Knight

Remove from play all cards you control. Draw cards until you have 3 cards in your hand. If you have inflicted Effect Damage to your opponent the turn this card is activated, your opponent draws cards equal to the number of cards you draw with this effect.

DPYE-059 Exchange

Both players reveal their hands and select 1 card from each other's hand. Add the selected card to your hand and you can use it in this Duel. (When the cards are sent to the Graveyard, they are sent to the Graveyard of the original owner.) If your opponent has not activated or Summoned a card with the name of the card they selected from your hand by your 3rd Standby Phase, you can select 1 card with that name from your Deck or Graveyard and add it to your hand.

DPYE-060 Magician's Unite

Activate only if you control 2 or more face-up Attack Position Spellcaster-Type Monsters; select 1 of them. The ATK of the selected monster becomes either 3000, or equal to the ATK of the highest ATK monster your opponent controls, whichever is greater. Spellcaster-Type monster(s) you control cannot attack this turn, except the selected monster. Additionally, it deals piercing damage this turn.

DPYE-061 Makiu, the Magical Mist
Normal Spell
Select 1 “Archfiend” Monster or Thunder-Type Monster you control. Destroy all monsters your opponent controls whose DEF is lower than the ATK of the selected monster. You cannot conduct your Battle Phase the turn you activate this card.

DPYE-062 Mystic Box
Normal Spell
Select 1 monster on each side of the field. Destroy the selected opponent's monster and shift control of your selected monster to your opponent. If your selected monster was a “Dark Magician” card, or a monster that includes “Dark Magician” in it's card text, you can move it to another Monster Card Zone you control instead.

Activate only while you control “Dark Magician Girl” or “Magician's Valkyria”. Special Summon 1 “Dark Magician” from your hand or Deck.

Select 1 face-up monster you control. During the Battle Phase this turn, that monster gains ATK equal to the total ATK of all other face-up monsters you control. This turn, other face-up monsters you control inflict no Battle Damage to your opponent.

During this turn, your Monsters deal piercing damage.

DPYE-067 Monster Recovery
Quick-Play Spell
Select 1 monster you control. Add it and your hand to the Deck. Draw the same number of cards that you returned to your Deck with this effect.

DPYE-068 Multiply
Quick-Play Spell
Tribute 1 face-up “Kuribo” monster you control (except “Bikuribox”). Special Summon as many “Kuriboh Token” (Fiend-Type/DARK/Level 1/ATK 300/DEF 200) as possible. Those Tokens cannot be Tributed for a Tribute Summon.

DPYE-070 Black Luster Ritual
Ritual Spell
This card is used to Ritual Summon “Black Luster Soldier”. You must also Tribute monsters whose total Levels equal 8 or more from the field or your hand. During your Main Phase 1, you can remove from play this card from your Graveyard to select 1 Ritual Monster you control and 1 monster your opponent controls. Remove from play your opponent's selected monster, and your monster cannot declare an attack during this turn.

DPYE-071 Black Magic Ritual

This card is used to Ritual Summon “Magician of Black Chaos”. You must also Tribute monsters whose total Levels equal 8 or more from the field or your hand. During the End Phase of the turn this card is activated, you can remove this card from play to select 1 Normal Spell Card in your Graveyard. Add it to your hand.

DPYE-072 Book of Secret Arts
Equip Spell
Equip only to a Spellcaster-Type Monster. It gains 500 ATK and DEF. If it would be destroyed, you can destroy this card instead. It cannot be targeted by the effects of your opponent's Spell or Trap Cards.

DPYE-073 Horn of the Unicorn
Equip Spell
Increase the ATK and DEF of the equipped monster by 700. An equipped “corn” monster deals piercing damage. If this card is sent from the field to the Graveyard, you can return it to the top of your Deck.

DPYE-074 Magic Formula
Equip Spell
Equip only to a Spellcaster-Type Monster. It gains 700 ATK. When this card is sent from the field to the Graveyard, gain 1000 Life Points.

DPYE-075 Mystical Moon
Equip Spell
Equip only to a Beast-Warrior-Type Monster. It gains 1000 ATK. It cannot be targeted or destroyed by the effects of your opponent's Monster Cards.

DPYE-076 Burning Land
Continuous Spell
Destroy all Field Spells on the field. Inflict 500 damage to your opponent during each of their Standby Phases.

DPYE-077 Marshmallon Glasses
Continuous Spell
While you control this face-up card and “Marshmallon”, your opponent cannot select a card other than “Marshmallon” as an attack target. During your opponent's Battle Phase, you can send this card you control to the Graveyard to Special Summon “Marshmallon” from your Deck or Graveyard. Destroy it at the end of the Battle Phase.

DPYE-078 Spiral Spear Strike
Continuous Spell
When a “Gaia Knight” or “Gaia Drake” monster you control attacks a Defense Position monster, it deals piercing damage. When a Fusion or Synchro monster inflicts Battle Damage with this effect, draw 2 cards from your Deck and discard 1 card from your hand.

DPYE-079 Chain Destruction
Normal Trap
Activate only when a monster with 2000 or less ATK is Summoned. Send all monsters with the same name in the Summoning player's hand and Deck to the Graveyard. If this card was activated as Chain Link 2 or higher, destroy the Summoned monster as well.

DPYE-080 Collected Power
Normal Trap
Select 1 face-up monster on the field. Equip it with all face-up Equip Cards on the field. If the target of the Equip Card is not correct, destroy it and increase or decrease the ATK and DEF of the selected monster by 500 for each card destroyed with this effect.

DPYE-081 Lightforce Sword
Normal Trap
Select and reveal up to 2 random cards from your opponent's hand. Select 1 of them and remove it from play. During your opponent's 4th Standby Phase, the removed card is returned to your opponent's hand.

DPYE-082 Magician's Circle
Normal Trap
Activate only when a Spellcaster-Type monster declares an attack. Special Summon 1 Spellcaster-Type monster from your Deck with 2000 or less ATK in face-up Attack Position.

DPYE-083 Mystical Refpanel
Normal Trap
Transfer the effects of a Spell Card that targets 1 player to another player. If this Set card is destroyed by your opponent's card effect and sent to the Graveyard, you can draw 1 card.

DPYE-084 Rope of Life
Normal Trap
When a monster(s) you control is sent to the Graveyard, discard your entire hand to activate this card. (You can activate this card during the Damage Step.) Special Summon the monster(s) to the field, and increase the ATK of the Summoned monster(s) by 800.

DPYE-085 Shift
Normal Trap
Activate when 1 monster you control is selected as the target of an attack or a card effect. Switch the target to another legal target you control. If you do not control another legal target, you can pay 2000 Life Points to negate the attack or card effect and destroy the card.

DPYE-086 Soul Rope
Normal Trap
Activate only by paying 1000 Life Points when a monster you control is destroyed and sent to the Graveyard. (This card can be activated during the Damage Step.) Special Summon 1 Level 4 monster from your Deck. It cannot be used as a Synchro or Exceed Material Monster.

DPYE-087 Time Seal
Normal Trap
Skip the Draw Phase of your opponent's next turn. This card is removed from play when it is removed from the field.

DPYE-088 Zero Gravity
Normal Trap
Change the battle positions of all monsters on the field. Your opponent's monster effects are not activated at this time.

DPYE-089 Light of Intervention
Continuous Trap
When this card is activated, you can look at each face-down card in your opponent's Spell and Trap Zone. Monster Cards cannot be Set face-down. Monsters Set in Defense Position are Normal Summoned in face-up Defense Position.

DPYE-090 Shattered Axe
Continuous Trap
Select 1 face-up monster on the field. Equip this card to that monster. It loses 500 ATK. During each of your Standby Phases, it loses an additional 500 ATK.

DPYE-091 Spellbinding Circle
Continuous Trap
Select 1 monster. As long as this card remains face-up on the field, the selected monster cannot attack or change its Battle Position. When the selected monster is sent to the Graveyard, select 1 monster your opponent controls. It becomes the new target of this card.

DPYE-092 Stronghold the Moving Fortress
Continuous Trap
After activation, Special Summon this card; it is treated as an Effect Monster Card (Machine-Type/EARTH/Level 4/ATK 0/DEF 2000). (This card is still treated as a Trap Card.) For each differently named “Gadget” monster you control, this card gains 1000 ATK.

DPYE-093 The Eye of Truth
Continuous Trap
During your opponent's Standby Phase, you can look at your opponent's hand. If you do, they gain 1000 Life Points.

DPYE-094 The Regulation of the Tribe
Continuous Trap
Declare 1 Type of monster. Monsters of the declared Type cannot attack. Pay 100 Life Points during each of your Standby Phases. If you do not, this card is destroyed.

Basically, I took the cards that were broken and banned and made them less broken. (I imagine they wouldn't be banned. I could see a couple Limited, though.) And the awful, terrible Vanilla Cards and support cards were made to be playable, if not at the tournament level, at least in a fun Deck.

Comments, suggestions, corrections, thoughts all appreciated. Also, 2 quick questions: I'd like to do some more with this series, should I? And should I actually post the pictures? I mean, we all know what the cards look like. I'm not going to redraw all their artwork, for sure.

I like them, some are OP but the idea is great.
Really refreshes the weak Yugi/Atem cards, great job I really liked them >:D.

EDIT: Swapped Lightning Blade (I'll reinclude it in Joey's pack) for Dark Eradicator Warlock (Technically, Yugi didn't use the card, but it is a Dark Magician support card.)
